A blog can be seen as online personal diary. This is because it is a website where you can express your thoughts, feelings and opinions. Blogs can be updated at any stage therefore you are giving your voice on the web continuously. Visitors can view your blog at any time and are able to express their own thoughts and feelings on what you have blogged about. Visors are also able to link or email you via your blog. Some of the services offered by blogs are that you can engage with your friends as you can view and comment on their blogs.

There is also the option of making your blog private therefore only your friends can see what you have blogged about. This is possible as there is also the ability to use access controls so that you decide who can read and leave comments.

The tool ‘blogger’ lets you find people and blogs that have similar interests however you have control if you want this to happen or not for you personally. At any time you can change your blog by editing and re-designing to suit how you want it. This can be done by using templates. Templates help you get started. You are also able to customize the templates to how you want it. blogger provides drag-and-drop elements which you to customise.

You can decide where your posts, profiles and archives and other parts of your blog are set out. Another aspect about blogs is that they let post photos which then you can share with friends and family. Photos can be uploaded very easily. The thing about blogging is that to understand it fully you have to be a blogger yourself. blogger provides easy step by step instructions on how to create your blog.
